2. How Data is Used and Shared

• On-device first. Your entries stay on your device and in your private iCloud zone.

• Sync. Apple’s CloudKit service encrypts and transfers your data so the same Apple ID can access it on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

• No human access. We cannot read, edit, or share your journal entries. Apple cannot read their contents either.

• No third-party sharing. We do not sell or share data with advertisers or analytics firms.

 

 

3.  Security

 

• Encryption in transit & at rest handled by CloudKit.

• Local protection uses iOS/macOS sandboxing and, if available, the Secure Enclave.

• We never store plaintext passwords, and we do not implement our own cryptography.
